Greetings! Boozhoo! Tânisi!
The Earth is alive with a powerful energy. She has a heartbeat, and if you listen, you can hear it. She provides us with everything we need, and in return, we must respect her and all of Creation.
At Centennial School, we are privileged to live, learn, and play along the shores of the Winnipeg River. These are the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Nêhiyawak, Anisininew, Dakota, and Dene peoples, as well as the birthplace of the Métis.
We welcome you to our school! Here, we learn from our ancestors whose spirits speak to us through the ancient Oak trees as they guide us on our journeys. We invite you to join us as we seek the knowledge that has been lost through the colonization of these lands, and endeavour to learn the truth about our shared history. At Centennial, we strive to live in harmony with the land, waters, and skies, and we thank Mother Earth and those who came before us. We recognize our responsibilty to engage in sustainable relationships for those who come after us, just as our ancestors did for us. We honour the past, connect with the present, and help shape the future.
