We have moved away from the model of an elected Student Council and toward a more diverse model of student leadership. Our Leadership group this year is composed of students from our Nature Warriors. They are leading us in environmental initiatives, but also in school spirit and community support initiatives. 

What Has the Leadership Team Been Up to This Year?

• Led us in learning about reconciliation on the lead-up to Orange Shirt Day.
• Organized Walk to School Week
• Look after weekly recycling and composting
• Led us in We Scare Hunger which collected 600 pounds of food for the LdB Food Bank.
• Took on speaking pieces for our Remembrance Day service
• Ran a popcorn sale at Parent-Teacher conferences to raise money for the LdB Christmas Hamper Campaign
• Put on Toonie Tuesday - collecting money and providing information to the school over the announcements -  to raise money & awareness for the LdB Christmas Hamper Campaign. With the popcorn sale, they raised $385.
• Created - and are creating - monthly dress-up days
